MY PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE

"Emotion Captured Beyond Words."

At the heart of my approach is a blend of documentary photography, creative portraiture and a rich, filmic feel.

I’m drawn to the moments that happen naturally — the quiet glance, the unexpected laugh, the tears, the embraces and all the little interactions that make a wedding day yours. But I don't believe wedding photography has to fit into one style.

Sometimes the best photograph is the one that happens in front of me. Other times, I'll step in with a little direction, find a different angle, use the light or create a moment that brings something more out of the scene.

My approach is thoughtful and observant, but also creative and evolving. I’m always looking for the light, the composition, the emotion and the moments that tell the story of your day.

STORYTELLING THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY

I take a documentary approach to much of a wedding day, paying attention to what is happening around me and anticipating the moments that matter.

I’m watching the room, reading the light and looking for the small interactions that might otherwise be missed. A glance between two people, a laugh shared across the room, the moment someone realises they’re about to cry.

I want your photographs to bring you back to how the day actually felt — not just show you what happened.

But documentary doesn't mean standing back and taking photographs at random. My framing is deliberate, and I'm always thinking about the light, composition and story within each image.

CREATING BEAUTIFUL PORTRAITS

There are also times when I’ll step in and give you a little direction.

You don't need to know how to pose, and you don't need to feel completely comfortable in front of a camera. I'll help you with where to stand, where to look and how to move, while keeping things relaxed and natural.

Sometimes a small adjustment is all that's needed to make the most of the light, the location or the moment.

The aim is to create photographs that feel natural while also giving you something beautiful to look back on.

LOOKING FOR THE UNEXPECTED

I’m always looking for something a little different — reflections, silhouettes, symmetry, interesting light, unusual angles and details that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Sometimes I'll find a reflection in a window or mirror. Sometimes I'll move behind an object or look for a completely different perspective.

I love those moments when an ordinary scene suddenly becomes something more interesting.

THE PEOPLE MATTER

Weddings aren't just about the couple. They're about the people who have come together to celebrate with you.

Family, friends, parents, grandparents, children and all the relationships that make up your life are an important part of the story.

I'll make time for those connections too — from the big moments to the quieter interactions that happen throughout the day.

DETAILS MATTER TOO

You've put a lot of thought into your wedding, from the rings and flowers to the venue, cake and all the personal touches you've chosen.

I'll make sure those details are captured alongside everything else. They're part of what makes your wedding yours, and they're often the things you notice differently when you look back years later.

HAVING A GREAT TIME

Wedding photography shouldn't get in the way of enjoying your day.

I love the moments when everyone relaxes, starts laughing and forgets about the camera. Whether that's messing around with your friends, getting the bridal party laughing or doing something a little unexpected, those moments often produce some of my favourite photographs.

The more comfortable you are, the more your personality comes through.

My editing style is designed to complement the photographs rather than overpower them.

I offer a natural signature edit alongside black-and-white and more filmic, stylised treatments, depending on the image and the atmosphere I'm trying to create.

The aim is always to keep the photographs looking like your day while giving each image the treatment that brings it to life.
