Sian & Sarah | East Midlands Engagement
There’s something truly special about capturing couples who are relaxed, playful, and completely themselves in front of the camera. Sian and Sarah brought that energy to their East Midlands engagement session, allowing me to create images full of warmth, intimacy, and authentic connection.
We explored a variety of locations throughout the area to set different moods and atmospheres. From the romantic charm of an old brick bridge to the gentle flow of a nearby river, each backdrop added depth and narrative to the session.
The rich autumn colours of the season, paired with their warm-toned outfits, helped frame every shot with a natural, glowing palette — enhancing the mood without ever feeling forced or staged.
My approach is always a balance between guidance and freedom. I encourage couples to move naturally, to laugh, play, and enjoy each other, but I also provide subtle direction to ensure the images feel timeless and beautifully composed.
Small touches, like asking one of them to look off into the distance or glance at the other’s lips, creates a quiet, lasting intimacy that truly translates in the photographs.
During the session, I often check in and show some of the images to the couple. This not only builds confidence but also gives them a sense of how their personalities and connection are being captured.
Sian and Sarah loved seeing the moments unfold — playful gestures, soft smiles, and tender embraces — and that excitement carried through every frame.
The result is a gallery of images that tell a story: a celebration of love, joy, and genuine connection. It’s always my goal to capture couples in a way that feels effortless and natural, so they can look back on these memories for years to come and feel the warmth, laughter, and intimacy of that day all over again.
